Uninstall does nothing?
« on: December 12, 2010, 06:48:06 PM »
I had this sim on a computer and before giving the computer to my 14 year old nephew I "uninstalled" the software.
Lo and behold, my sister calls me up and curses me out for giving the kid porn...  The only thing the uninstall did was remove the start menu items but the install was still fully there in program files.  Computer was running windows vista home premium sp2.  I manually deleted everything I could find and even bought a registry fixing program which still found entries for the program in the registry!  So yeah I have no problem now (I think) but the programmers need to fix their install so it can be uninstalled properly.

Thanks for letting me know about this.  I'm sorry that it caused you trouble.

There are reasons why the uninstall doesn't remove everything, based on technical details (for instance, some versions of Windows won't let an uninstaller delete whole folders, and if you install any user created items into a folder there's no way the Sex Sim uninstaller can know about it), but I am looking into purchasing a different install program that will solve the issue and remove everything.  Again please accept my apologies and I hope your nephew wasn't too traumatized by the experience.
