A First Attempt.
« on: November 05, 2011, 11:41:10 PM »
First try, so please go easy!   :eyebrows:
The most difficult bit I found was doing the meter.png  :o
Any suggestions to get that circular selection done neatly, would be gratefully received! ;)

Any constructive criticism welcomed.  :)

Edit: Incorrect XML file in original zip corrected.

She's absolutely adorable, I love it!  Great job. :)

I had some trouble with the filenames not being correct.  Here's the list of what it was looking for:

F:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\textures\Eva\f_bumpBODY-Eva.png
F:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\textures\Eva\f_bumpHEAD-Eva.png
F:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\textures\Eva\f_bumpLIMBS-Eva.png
F:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\textures\Eva\EYE-EYE.png
F:\Sex Sim\Runtime\user_created\characters\textures\Eva\EYELASHES-EYELASHES.png

I had to change the filenames that came in the ZIP file in order for her bump maps, eyes, and eyelashes to work properly.  You probably want to do that and then rezip it up so people don't have those issues.

Nice work other than that; I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.

Thanks, I am quite pleased with how she came out.  :o

Yeah, I got that initially.

I corrected the XML file  in game.

Forgot about the archive one!  :-[

Will do!

I think this one should work OK.

You have a very user friendly error capture in this software!  ;)

Any tips for my issue with the meter.png, please?

I just uploaded a file to help with this.  See the original character creation post and scroll down to the part where it talks about thumbnails and meter pics.  You'll see the added info (marked with a *) with a link to the file.

Cap'n and Jak:

What's a good workflow in Photoshop to use photos to match up the uvs?  Do you use liquify tool a lot or just a lot of warping and such....?

I generally use liquify more than warping because it's easier to control what goes where.  Since I got CS5 I use Puppet Warp a lot.  Each one of them does something a little different so it's pretty much just a combination of different tools depending on the job.

As is always the case working in Photoshop, there are a variety of ways to get where you need to go.

It comes down to skills & personal preferences.

As mine is an older program, I tend to stick with what I know works for me.
I use the transform tools & warp quite a bit.
The liquify sounds interesting.
When did that come in?  ???

OK I have given up on my old version of Photoshop & downloaded Gimp 2.6.

I have to be honest, I find it a lot quicker & more user friendly now I have sussed out it's foibles.  ;D
