Voice Options
« on: February 06, 2014, 10:56:39 AM »
I started this last month after first trying a competitor. This has a lot more flexibility to keep it from getting tiresome. I've been designing some of my own favorite ladies from past encounters.   :eyebrows:

I'd like to know how easy/difficult it might be to update with an option for different female voices.

I'd love to hear some female dialogue at the very beginning saying things like:
"Do you like this outfit? I bought it thinking about you."
"I love what you've done to this place."
"Wow. You look even hotter without your shirt."
"I guess somebody is glad to see me."

Maybe 2 or 3 voice pitches or, even better, a sliding scale.

Plus, I'd like to have some options for during the act, such as the "screamer" and the "beggar" ("c'mon, baby, harder, oh, that's it..."). Not sure where you'd find the voices but I bet it would be a fun project.

This could even be expanded into personality types such as shy, adventurous, demanding, playful, etc.

Some probably would disagree but I want as life-like a fantasy as possible.

Also on my wish list is a way to create platinum blondes (front and back) and a scene as "Vegas motel room" complete with floor to ceiling windows and a view of the Strip.

The reason why we haven't put voices in is because the user base for Sex Sim is world-wide, not just English. To hire voice actors\actresses to provide voices would mean having to accommodate for several languages.

We also chose to keep voices out of things because not everyone enjoys certain voices, and everyone has diffferent ideas of what kind of things they find it sexy to hear their lovers say. We leave it up to people's imagination to "hear" the words they would like to hear, rather than deciding ourselves what that may be.

Fair enough.

A sliding scale on voice pitches might still be worthwhile. After awhile, the same response noises gets a bit tiresome.

Love the "game" though. Keep up the good work.

its a relatively difficult thing to extract the audio from the animation. having said that once you do its easy enough to play with . . however adding it back is another thing altogether.
you can ofcourse record your game then overlay your modified audio on the video
oftimes you get closer to what you want when you do it yourself ^-^
but you may wonder what is the best way to record the sim onto video ? well alot of players seem to prefer
CamStudio. its free and available from several sites. it records well though if your like me you need an editor like windows movieMaker or DivX to edit out all my button pushing and camera spinning.
there are other desktop recorders some are better than others. you can also take a series of snapshots and load them into a movieMaker than add whatever music and voice stuff you like. the effort pays off.
i'll see if i can find a recorder small enough to load into the user tools.

ah heres a link for camstudio
http://camstudio.org/
and here is a link for audacity ( a very cool sound editor)
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
to record audio from sex sim you need to run plugs from your computers speaker out to microphone in.
thats a good "lossles" way. though you may need to tweak the volume later.
the other way is to record a play through with CamStudio then use audacity to extract the audio from the video.
you can then edit it and record it back over your video.

ofcourse you might be wondering how can i make my model say exactly what i want her to ?
well you could find/make a recording of someone saying it.
or you might try some voice Synthesis software. such as Balabolka.
i used to use this software alot when i was playing The Movies Game. it takes some getting used to. but the effort can be totaly worth it. creativity is its own reward.
